Terms of Service
- I hold the right to refuse a commission.
If the subject matter is not something I am comfortable with, or I feel I cannot fulfill your request or cannot work with you, I will refuse to take your commission. In addition to this if you are a customer that has had past grievances with other artists that have not been resolved, or there is evidence that you may be a difficult customer, I will refuse your request. Please respect this.
- Please be of legal age in your country.
All buyers must have attained the age of majority in their country. Due to the risk of loss and lack of legal protection I will not work with minors.
- Reference art.
Please make sure that all references you provide to me are up to date and are as clear as possible. If providing more than one reference please make sure that they match up to avoid confusion of character features. I will not accept references in addition to text descriptions that provide updates (i.e. you send me an image of your character as a tiger, but in your text you state that he is now a leopard).
I can work off doll maker images if you do not have a drawing of your character. This will provide a better starting point for me than a full text description. In this case you can provide additional notes if the doll-maker's options are limited.
If you provide references that are completely text-based (i.e. you do not have any images of your characters and only provide descriptions) there will be an additional $10 added to the price of the commission.
- Payments
When I confirm that I will go ahead with your commission I will send you a Paypal invoice. Prices are in Australian dollars. Please do not send payment until I send an invoice. If you send payment beforehand I will refund it.
Once an invoice is sent you have 1 week to make payment. If payment is not received by then I will send a follow up email and give another week. If payment is still not received by then I will cancel the commission and relist the spot.
Work will not begin until full payment is received.
- Prices listed are the default, I will ask extra for additional characters.
Additional characters will cost the same price as the commission piece you are requesting (i.e. A full coloured bust with an additional character will cost $70 ($35 + $35)).
- Refunds
If I have begun work and you wish to cancel you will receive a 50% refund. If I have not begun I will provide a full refund. Refunds will not be given if the commission is fully completed.
If I cancel a commission I will provide a full refund, regardless of the progress made. If I need to cancel a commission I will contact you first. Please be advised as well that if you start to abuse or harass me (i.e. cussing me out, emailing me daily for updates, using abusive or derogatory language) I will cancel the commission immediately and will issue a full refund. Extreme cases will have a warning posted about them to Artists Beware, and blocks will be put into action.
I will not refund once I've completed your artwork. If you are unhappy with a mistake I've made please see my edit policy below.
- Contact.
As soon as I have any update on your commission I will email you. Please be advised that updates may take several days. If for any reason I haven't contacted you after two weeks of my last update you are welcome to contact me via email. All updates are also provided via Trello and my Furaffinity journal (https://trello.com/b/0blHH5vL/commission-list and http://www.furaffinity.net/user/oohcee/)
In addition to this if I do not receive a confirmation response from you all work on your commission will be stopped. I will not continue until I receive word from you to do so. I will attempt to contact you three times in cases of no responses.
All communications will take place via email. Please when contacting me keep it to business only so as to avoid me losing any information or flooding my inbox. My email was made strictly for business purposes only, and I will be treating all commissions as strictly business only. This does not mean that I will not be friendly, but please do not use that as an invitation to strike up conversations with me, send me links, etc.
- Edits are available but will cost extra.
I will edit your commission in the sketch stage three for free before beginning to charge for it. This is in terms of major changes due to you changing your mind - if I need to edit due to my mistake there will be no charge.
Charges will be $5 per edit after the third edit. An additional invoice will be sent to you upon completion of the commission, but prior to the final piece being sent to you - you will be warned of these additional costs, and if you agree to them then payment will be required. If you do not agree to the charges I will not do the edits, and you will receive a completed image without edits.
Any other changes to the completed commission will cost extra. This will be negotiated on a case by case scenario.
It is very important that you communicate any and all concerns or suggestions during the sketch stage to avoid edits later. I will show you the commission piece throughout each stage (i.e. sketch, inked, flat colours), so please make sure that you check each for anything that may require a change later.
- When completed you will receive:
- a hi-res version of your image for personal non-commercial use (i.e. icons, background images, etc), complete with a discreet signature.
- a low-res watermarked version of your image for uploading (note: watermark will not obscure the image, but will be used as a signature so people can identify that I created the image for you).
- You may repost your commission.
Please upload only the watermarked version of the image I provide for you, and please link back to my FurAffinity account (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/oohcee/). If neither of these requests are fulfilled I will remind you to do so. If you still refuse to comply I will request the website admins to remove the image.
You are welcome to edit the image to create an icon, banner, or background image. You cannot use the image to create products for profit (i.e. t-shirts, tote bags, etc) or promotion unless discussed beforehand. Commercial commissions will fetch a higher fee.
- You may not edit your commission unless it is for reasons stated above.
If you are unhappy with something please ask me to change it instead of doing it yourself or asking another artist to do it. I always keep hi-res files on hand, and depending on the change required it can simply be done. Please refer to my edits policy for further information regarding edits.
- Copyrights
By rights the artwork itself belongs to me, which means I hold the rights to do as I please with the artwork for non-profit purposes (i.e. upload the images to my art galleries, use as samples for future commissions, use as samples in portfolios etc). This does not mean I own your character.
In addition to this it also means you cannot use the art for profit, nor claim the artwork as your own. Please refer to "You may repost your commission" to see what you can do with the completed commission.
- Canvas size
By default I work at 4000 x 4000px (sizes adjusted to compensate for character). The canvas size will be cropped to fit the drawing better. If for any reason you wish for the canvas size to be larger (i.e. A3 so you can print a small poster for yourself), please advise me beforehand. If I am not told beforehand I cannot do anything with the file to enlarge it for you without losing image quality.

Will Draw:
- Animals - Anthros/Furries -Taurs/Chakats - Fan Characters (as long as they are anthro/animals) - Sonic characters (please note: they will be drawn in my anthro-ish style and not in the official Sonic style) - Pokemon/Anthro Pokemon (I work best with animal-like pokemon) - Various body types (i.e. skinny, chubby, etc) - Humans (please note: humans will have a $5 extra fee as I am still not quite comfortable working with humans. Please make a very informed decision before requesting humans) |
Won't Draw:
- Porn (I'm just bad at it) - Sexual nudity (i.e. exposed genitals. Breasts and general nudity is fine) - Offensive Content (Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, and any other offensive content is not acceptable) - 'Mecha' (such as Transformers-style characters. Characters with robot features are fine) - Fetish art (i.e. diaper fur, scat, watersports, etc) - Morbidly obese characters (i.e. completely immobile. I am fine with fat characters but I'm just bad at overly huge ones) |
